Open Source or Die – The "Real" Future of Graffiti?

If you are interested in the future of Graffiti CMS, be sure to read this blog post.

This is an excellent post regarding the concern for the future of the .NET CMS software "Graffiti". I couldn't agree more. I checked into this software when it first came out. I downloaded the beta, custom themed it, made it do a few tricks and used it for my own personal purposes at my home. I love the software, but as soon as it looked like the support wasn't there then my interest in the software died. I check back at the site every so often, but there is little news that offers any comfort. I have implemented this blog with blogengine.net. This is open source and it works well. I like it, but it doesn't have some of the slick features of Graffiti. I am not complianing, I love BlogEngine, I am just stating that there are differences in the software, differences that I appreciate.

KingsArrows.com

I just setup my second BlogEngine.net blogging site. This one for my sons and their friends. They want to have a place to write book reviews, video game reviews, and other such things. I pray that they join the rebelution. Keep an eye out for future content... To Hunter and Fisher - I hope you like your new window into the world wide web. I pray that you will be mighty hunter's of lost souls and great fisher's of men.

First Blog Entry

I enter here, my very first blog entry. Is it anything special? Nah, not really, but it is my first one!

So, what is the point? What will I do with this blog? Good question. Well, my hope is to use it on a regular basis mainly to record my journey with learning .NET. I may also use it to talk a little about my family from time to time, and I may even talk about spiritual things here and there. I just suppose it depends on what happens that day and whether or not I feel like posting about it!

Seriously though, the main purpose is to document the things that I learn with .NET. I would expect to see a lot of links to articles and other blogs and the MSDN site, as well as some notes on things I tried that didn't work, and things I tried that DID work!! Whether or not anyone else finds the information useful is not necessarily important to me for now, this is for me. But hey, I love to help others out, and if I can help others find solutions to their problems via this blog - then GREAT!
