Leah, I Love You! Happy Valentines Day

LeahThis is to the one that I love. The one who is the most important person in my life. The mother and teacher to my children, the manager of our home, the manager our farm, my wife, my confidant, my dearest friend. If you have the pleasure of knowing her, then you already know her beauty, both within and without.

Leah, I love you. Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for your love and friendship and continued support. You keep me going each and every day.

"Forever and Never Ending"

Our song:

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When you're close to me
I can feel you heart beat
I can hear you breathing
In my ear
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

Any time you want to
You can turn me on to
Anything you want to
Any time at all
When I kiss your lips
Ooh, I start to shiver
Can't control the quivering inside
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

Ooh

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When I'm in your arms
Nothing seems to matter
My whole world can shatter
I don't care
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

We got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love
Ooh, ooh
We got a groovy kind of love

Movie Review: Radio

My family and I signed up for NetFlix back a few weeks ago and so far we like it. It is so much more convenient than Blockbuster for us out here in the sticks. Fridays are our family movie night so we get one movie a week and save it for then. This past week we saw Radio, which is based on a true story. We thought the movie was inspiring. It is about a mentally disabled young black man that gets taken in by a high school football coach. After the slow process of building a relationship with this young man, he becomes an inspiration to the football team, all of the students at the school and ultimately the whole little town that they live it. It isn't done as a spiritual film, but the principles are there reminding us that we are all made in the image of God and that we should reach out and befriend and bless others around us. We often get so caught up in our own world that we forget others around us. We worry about how ministering to others is going to interfere with our schedule and how it will inconvenience us. Here is the write up on the movie from NetFlix:

A small-town high school football coach (Ed Harris) befriends an illiterate, developmentally disabled man (Cuba Gooding Jr.) nicknamed "Radio," who has always been the target of jokes and teasing. Although their friendship raises eyebrows at first, Radio's growth under the coach's guidance ultimately inspires the local townsfolk. Based on the true story of the life of James Robert Kennedy.
